 A SHOEI helmet is manufactured using a process combining computer controlled
machines and assembly by hand resulting in superior, long lasting quality.
- Through use of computer controlled lasers
and water jets to precision cut eye port and vent openings
- Precision machines used to punch holes for
base plate screw location (different tooling for each shell size and model)
- Computer controlled painting for white,
black and Monza red colors
- All other colors are hand painted to
ensure superior finish, which no machine can match
- The comfort, which you experience whenever
you put on a SHOEI, comes from an interior assembled by hand
- The shell, which gives you first the line
of protection, is “bag molded” by hand, which insures accuracy in the placement
of the various high tech materials used in shell construction
It is this manufacturing technique of
using computerized precision machinery wherever useful, and skilled hands that make a
SHOEI helmet unsurpassed in quality.
 SHOEI helmets give you the ultimate in comfort and performance.
Our helmets are made in up to 10
different molds per model. There is a special fit for Asian, American and European
markets, in order to insure that the typical head shape of the customers is matched as
closely as possible. In addition, Shoei’s for smaller size heads use a smaller shell
than Shoei’s for large size heads. That requires additional molds, but our customers
are worth it.
Several real test heads and endless hours
of test riding ultimately make it possible to make a helmet, which fits almost as if it is
tailor made.
Regarding choice of padding materials, we
look for the utmost in quality, durability, comfort and appearance, not for low cost.
