Practically the best open-faced helmet, reviews of the RJ_Air Platinum alone makes even that that bike-riding tech CEO feel a lot safer.

But how about an even more adventurous product from the same brand, without risking one's head too much of course? The ST-Cruz Half Helmet meets all DOT standards. It's all fiverglass and weights less than the RJ-Air. It's a convertible, so one can remove the visor if one prefers to look at the road through RayBans; the detachable visor has its own sun protection so don't worry about ruining your eyes.

The look is the best part, with genuine early twentieth century feel to it with state-of-the-art additions like the nylon interior and the extra-comfy crown pad.

Pros: Great vintage look and feel without sacrificing comfort and ventilation.

Cons: It does look less safe than a full-faced or open-face helmet. Safety probably not equal to the RJ_AIR Platinum, probably. It does meet industry standards.
